Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh spinach, washed and drained Make sure it is Halal-compliant.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pan over medium heat, add the butter and let it melt until it’s frothy but not browned.
  2. Toss in the minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until it’s fragrant but not burnt.
  3. Gradually add the fresh spinach to the pan, stirring continuously. It may seem like a lot at first, but spinach wilts down considerably.
  4. Once the spinach is wilted (about 3-5 minutes), sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer it to a serving dish and enjoy while it’s hot!

Notes

For a healthier option, you can substitute olive oil for butter. Avoid overcooking the spinach to keep it tender and vibrant. Rinse the spinach thoroughly to remove any dirt.
