Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fruit juice (such as apple, orange, or berry) Use juices without added sugars or artificial components.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional) Add for sweetness if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder For a vegan option, consider using agar-agar.
  • 1/2 cup fresh fruit pieces (optional) Add for texture, can include leftover berries.

Method

Preparation
  1. Pour your chosen fruit juice into a small saucepan and warm it over medium heat, avoiding boiling.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the gelatin powder with about 1/4 cup of the warm juice to create a slurry and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Combine the gelatin mixture back into the saucepan with the rest of the warm juice. Add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness and stir well.
  4. If using, add the fresh fruit pieces to the juice mixture at this stage.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds or a lined baking pan. Allow it to cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for about 2-3 hours, or until set.
  6. Once fully set, pop the gummies out of the molds and enjoy!

Notes

Store gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for longer storage. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
