Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup leftover Halloween candy, chopped Use a mix of your favorite candies.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mix, stirring until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in your chopped leftover Halloween candy, ensuring it’s well dispersed.
  8. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, mince large pieces of candy to maintain even cooking. Keep an eye on baking to avoid dryness, aiming for a light golden brown color. If you prefer thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
